Hotel Project Manager

Project Manager required for a hotel developer, based in South West London. Our client has acquired a hotel in a prime postcode and are looking to transform the property into a state of the art, modern, high tech hotel. The Project Manager must have experience of new build, refurbishment hotels, with a strong emphasis on M&E and also live operational aspects of a hotel environment.
The developer have a very strong reputation for developing assets on behalf of their clients and investors. They are now set to develop their new flexible stay accommodation brand, which they hope will change the way people look at hotels. After acquiring a hotel in RBKC, they have planning permission to transform the property into a modern, state of the art 250 key hotel and deliver a world class, high tech experience for their customers.
They are seeking a dynamic and energetic Project Manager to oversee the conversion and refurbishment of hotel buildings for cutting edge, tech based flexible stay accommodation. The Project Manager will be working in conjunction with the Head of Project Management and their ideal candidate will be highly organised and self-motivated with a can-do attitude to their work, to problem solve and work within a team to drive the project forward. You should be personable, articulate with good multi-tasking skills.
You will also have sound administration and IT skills and be commercially astute, understanding the importance of working to deadlines within an overall investment strategy to ensure projects are delivered to the required specification.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ hotel (or similar) sector experience, solid practical knowledge of large hotel refurbishments including MEP requirements and a formal project management qualification. Similar experience or qualifications will also be considered, as will time-served knowledge gained first-hand.
They will have also received health and safety training and have good pre-contract knowledge, as well as construction delivery experience. Knowledge of ESG principles and practices in construction would be an advantage, as would experience with CAD and hospitality technology.
This role will involve reporting into and working closely with the Head of Project Management and providing project administrative support, so the candidate should have the ability to communicate with senior management.

·Develop and analyse specifications, drawings and project information for compliance with client brief, project design specification and brand standards
·Lead and manage the external consultant team (Project Manager, QS, Architect, Engineer, M&E, Procurement) and main contractor
·Look for ways to value engineer the specification to balance cost and quality to obtain the best value for the client
·Oversee the tender process (carried out by external QS)
·Assist in the creation of regular reports and preparing periodic project progress reports for the Board
·Attend site meetings and take comprehensive notes and project progress photos on the client’s behalf
·Manage and control costs to maintain the budget. Monitoring the financial reporting to the Board and preparing project expenditure reports.
·Visit site to check progress against programme and assess quality of works and adherence with the project specification
Create various project monitoring trackers, registers and other tools as required
·Manage Health & Safety requirements including monitoring site standards
·Create hard and soft-copy filing systems, ensuring all project information is accessible and easy to find, kept up to date
·Oversee the process of obtaining Listed Buildings Consent, Planning Consent and any other consents required
·Liaise with Building Control
·Supervise installation and arrangement of FF&E and OS&E on site
·Oversee external procurement consultant who will be ordering FF&E and OS&E
·Compile snagging lists and check contents of O&M manuals provided by the main contractor
·Keep up to date with any policy and legislation changes including building regulations changes and other regulatory issues
·Support the company with establishing and developing the project management processes and procedures
