General Manager – Soft Services

£60,000 + Car / Package



Boden resource have an opportunity for an experience General Manager for a Service provider looking after a Healthcare contract.

Ideal candidate will have experience within healthcare and high footfall site with strong P&L management.


  • General Manager looking after soft services managing day to day operations of Hospitality, retail, cleaning and portering across large busy site
  • Have overall responsibility of the delivery of the hospitality service embedded in the Patient Dining Service
  • Managing the staff engagement and leading the team to drive standards across the site
  • Motivate the team and deliver staff appraisals and reviews
  • Ensuring that Cleaning standards are achieved across the site and in line with client’s expectations
  • Managing the P&L for the contract, reporting into the Site Director
  • Stakeholder management – develop and manage professional client retention and communication strategy
  • Manager all KPIs and avoid any financial penalties
  • Ensure that all Labour management targets are met
  • Ensure Health and safety and compliance comply with the Operating Contract and that they are not compromised
  • Identify opportunities to grow the site via adhoc variations
  • Manage all programmes that can reduce the cost and increase productivity



  • Leading service provider


  • Minimum of 5-year business management experience within a similar role
  • Soft services qualification such as IOSH NEBOSH
  • Previous P&L experience working to budgets and financial targets
  • Commercially aware
  • Experience of collaborative working within contracted service environment
  • Strong Health care background and experience
  • Proven experience of managing employees, addressing performance issues effectively
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, senior managers/directors
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate the team and lead from the front attitude
