Job Description

We are working with a specialist facade contractor who manufacture, supply and fit their own, non combustible A1 fire rated cladding and insulation to properties across the UK to find a specialist facade Estimator. They work on new builds and existing buildings, where the facade needs changing to improved building regulations. They can undertake, design, supply and instillation to deliver a bespoke service to their existing and new clients, which allows them to provide a service over 50% cheaper than their competitors without cutting corners or putting any risk to Health & Safety. 

 
They are now looking for an Estimator to join their central London office and become part of a growing company. With a long heritage in development this group have proven experience of delivering construction projects and have recently started their own facade contractor to deliver a quality, tailored service to their clients and due to their pipeline, they now need an extra Estimator to keep up with demand.

They are looking for candidates to join a pro-active and enterprising team.A candidate who is willing to undertake work on both new builds and existing building, and perform site visits to investigate the best method of work.

Estimator role and duties:

·Understand and scrutinise Project Specifications & Drawings

·Carry out site visits and surveys

·Meeting with clients and consultants

·Able to tender between 1 and 3 projects at any time period

·Measuring and take offs for materials, plant and labour

·Complete tenders within short timescales, common return period between 1 and 3 weeks

·Produce Value Engineering solutions

·Identify and present tender qualifications and exclusions

·Obtain, understand and scrutinise subcontractor quotations

·Maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels within the Company and with all sister companies, as well as externally with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and third parties.

·Where management of staff is required, the candidate would need to lead, motivate, communicate with, develop, appraise and performance manage staff.

·Monitoring performance and reporting to the director.

·Maintain a flexible working approach and assist other teams, such as the sales team, as required

Mandatory skills & experience:

·Prior experience in estimating

·IT skills; competent in Word, & Excel (competence in estimating software and AutoCAD preferred but not essential)

·Excellent spoken and written English

The company are willing to offer a great package and a base salary between £45,000 - £60,000 plus benefits and bonus.
